Watercolor Teaching Painting Party Celebration

I get hyped when I talk about painting with watercolors. Even more so when I paint with them. There are so many moving parts and they move in a calm and peaceful way for me. With these fun decisions, everything else melts away. It’s hard to continue to stress and overthink about something when you are working with the paint. It softly drowns out those distractions and before you know it you are blending colors, watching them react on the paper and seeing something new come to life.

This month is my birthday month and I had a Group Birthday Painting Party live. I walked through how to make a color wheel, how to draw this bear, values, watercolor washes and more for two hours. We had a short list of supplies: paper, cup for water, brush, primary colors and a brown, a pencil, an eraser, a paper towel….and….I think that’s it! Getting to share what I know and getting to watch lightbulbs go off for someone else is the BEST. Everyone should be painting with watercolors because it is so much fun!

This is the before and after of my party bear from the class. I hope you can come to the next one! In the meantime I have instant access classes you can check out right here or over on Skillshare.
