I've had a thick book in my hands consistently for the past month and a half. The Twilight series had me hooked. I am pretty adamant about not liking vampires. I'm a wimp and horror flicks don't entertain me at all. All of that cowering and covering of my eyes kills the fun for me. Raul has Bram Stoker's Dracula in his DVD library and I just can't go there.
So it took me awhile before I gave the Twilight series the green light. It's more of a love/sci-fi book and the writing just draws you in. I wish the story went other ways in parts but overall I loved the ride. It took me a long time to read the last book, Breaking Dawn, because I didn't want it to end.
My friend Jackie got me hooked and then I got Jo to read along with me an then there was Rhea and Tiffany, the list goes on and on. Jo is a speed reader, literally. She read two books over 400 pages each in one week. She started the books after me and finished before me, she's that quick. While I was finishing up she mentioned the author writing another book from Edward's perspective called Midnight Sun.
I couldn't wait to read it next and then I read that the book had been leaked. Unedited and unfinished. Now Stephenie says she's halted writing the book and isn't sure if it will ever be finished at this point. She posted chapters on her site but I'm trying not to read them. Just in case she changes her mind.
Bummer man. I'll just keep reading The Host instead.
