Technique Is Key

IMG_4378_polarr-(W).jpeg

The thing that sets you apart from the old you, the beginner you, is technique. You grow, you get better, you learn and you adjust your technique/strategy and that is how you improve. For me, I’m only in competition with myself so when I look back on things I used to be a beginner at, the thing that changed was my technique. I wish I had footage of the first diaper I changed (on a doll in our birthing class) and could compare it to the smoothest quick draw diaper change you’ve ever seen, there were steps that worked out better and other steps that were unnecessary but I would have never known what those two things were if I didn’t keep trying. If I didn’t keep doing the thing and getting better at the thing, no matter what it was.

This helps me keep going because I believe that even if you weren’t trying to improve and get better, it is inevitable that you will. So just imagine if you kept trying and you made a concentrated effort to be better? The possibilities of what could be are limitless.

xo,
Erika
