One project down, three more to go. Our social comment pieces were returned today. (I got an A!!) The subject I chose was unemployment and I wanted to show the stage of unemployment most people don't see. People don't become "bums" overnight and unemployment is a closer reality now than it has been in a long time.
The piece was done with colored pencils and ink. 18"x24". I got the cross hatching technique down and I love inking so far. I had a lot of fun working on this project. The other students did everything from the Statue of Liberty giving birth to materialism to how corporations see everything.
Didn't realize there was so much to say.

*edit* 6:20am 04.28.04 - I forgot to tell you about free ice cream yesterday! Ben and Jerry's were giving away free ice cream cones!! I didn't even know we had a Ben and Jerry's store. It's right by DU. So I went there and took a ton of pictures. But don't be sad because TODAY is free ice cream day at Baskin Robbins! :) mmm mmm good.
Unrelated - I LOVE CHEX MIX HONEY NUT. It is so good! Can't find it on the chex site for some reason but I love it because it's salty and sweet. When I get left with little crumbs, I eat it with a spoon.
Can't get enough!
