New Office and Art Studio Redesign In Progress

IMG_2802_polarr-(W).jpeg

Hey hey! Oh my goodness, I have been working on a major home project (my art studio and our home offices) and I am completely exhausted. Today I finished assembling the last piece of furniture, the new desk, and it is beautiful!!!!!! I have been macro organizing mountains of paper (literally), all of the paper in this house has been dealt with. Shredded, recycled, filed, put in keepsake boxes for the kids, macro organized into hanging folders in the new vertical file cabinet, etc. It’s crazy to realize that these spaces are getting the love and attention they need which in turn will reward each and every one of us in this house. I am most definitely in a season of homemaking and developing new routines to not only get things organized in a system that I understand but to maintain these systems going forward. I have an art dream to fulfill and so many more personal connections to make!

I had to keep pushing past the negative voices that were upset we even had these things to sort and tidy. Why did we let it get out of control? Well we were doing the best we could with the time we had running here and there all over all the time while we made sure we were taken care of. It is what it is and IKEA hasn’t always been here in Colorado either, so there’s that. Perspective is a tricky thing right?  Time and opportunity is here now and I’ve taken full advantage.

Super excited for this next chapter, how we get to enjoy R’s home office/guest room, how the girls use their new creative space and how I use mine right along with them. This is what I envisioned when we bought our home and now every space is serving our needs in the best way possible. Love, love, love and I’m so grateful.  And tired. Can’t wait to show you the end result! :D

Here is the Pinterest board where I put everything that has inspired me as far as creative offices go FOREVER, I think I’m getting close to the goal and the dream. Again, super excited.

xo,

Erika

P.S. I used a drill today again and it was awesome. Need to do that more.
