Holiday Gift Guide for Everyone: Books for Kids, Artists, Self-Development and Business

fluximagerygiftguide.png

My love of books just continues to grow every year but this year even more so! These children’s books are constantly on rotation and they are my kid’s favorites! The art and the stories are top notch. Ever since I started making moves in my career and pursuing being a full-time creative, I started diving into self-development and productivity books to help me streamline in life (hello fellow momagers!) and business.

Here are my top pics for all things kid’s books, artists, self-development and business. Enjoy!

  1. This book is so stinking cute and it is fun to read along with all of the sounds for the sea creatures.

  2. A beautiful brown little girl is the star of this book and my youngest daughter always says this is “the book about her”! Love it, super cute and empowering with her curly coils and adorable illustrations.

  3. If you know me you know I love mermaids and in this book the story, rhymes and illustrations are diverse and beautiful. There is even a little boy mermaid…er…merboy?

  4. This book is a collection of stories that are centered around girl power and they are all different and unique.

  5. The focus of this book is understanding that habit is weaved into everything and how you have a positive relationship with habit going forward to make huge changes in your life. It’s mind-blowing.

  6. The main character in this book is a girl who is beautifully wild and the story and art are truly touching. Always stay wild.

  7. A story about a bear and a bunny and one of them wants their hat back. SO fun and there is a major plot twist. :)

  8. I share James Clear quotes all of the time on Instagram and I finally got his book. His personal story of how he had a horrible injury and how he recovered with habits is incredible. I am currently reading this every night and it should be in everyone’s library. One of the gems shared is that behavior changes from the inside out, not the other way around, it starts with your identity and who you believe you truly are. It’s reallllllly good.

  9. My tastes are clearly eclectic because this book is a murder thriller and I read it in like 5 days. With kids and staying at home, so what I am trying to say is IT. IS. A. PAGE. TURNER. Trust. The style that the chapters are written in and the clues here and there, so well done and it is this author’s first book. New York Best Seller right out of the gate. I can’t even.

  10. This story is about a polar bear and a mouse who cannot get the polar bear out of his chair. The little mouse character is so and both characters have so much personality. Really fun to read out loud with your little ones.

  11. I haven’t read many Seth Godin books but I’ve heard about him forever. He is a brilliant businessman and this book is all about thinking outside of the box and doing things differently.

  12. This chapter book series is great for new readers. The main character is a girl who has a secret identity and solves problems, she’s a super cool superhero and there are so many other diverse princesses from all over the world. Such a great collection!

  13. Who better to learn about drawing characters from than Disney? This is one of the volumes (there are 2) written by Walt Stanchfield and it is a collection of lectures he gave to Disney illustrators. Ah-mazing and insightful.

  14. A little brown boy is the star of this adorable book about a boy and a sneaky snake in the forest. Who will outsmart who? The rhythm in the writing makes this a really fun read!

  15. This book is PERFECT for all levels of watercolor painters. Cute and modern watercolor projects? Skin tones, poses, flowers and more??? Yes, please!

  16. Love to draw but need help drawing characters? This book is great and goes over all of the little details that make a character come alive and be unique.

I hope this helps you with your gift giving and you treat yourself too! Always be learning and growing, so much to know!

xo,
Erika
