Although I don't like what the warm shades of yellow, orange, and red on the leaves represents, I have to admit it's beautiful. I'm not ready for the cold and fluffy snow, not feeling my fingers, having a red nose, and shivering from winter. After I got off work, I went to visit my friend Jo who just had her baby last month. She lives in an area full of trees and trails so we went for a walk. It was so pretty! Just the right temperature and the light was great. Before we started out on our walk I loaded my manual camera with 400 film and took my digital camera too. I focused on taking pictures with my manual Pentax and barely took any with my digital. I was surprised I remembered how to load my film because it's been about a year since I've loaded it! The only thing I'm nervous about is not having my gray card with me. I had to use the back of Jo's daughter's coloring book which was a light gray tone to meter light off of. I think I'm going to need to get my film specially processed with explicit instructions so I get the best results. I don't want overexposed pictures. It's going to be awhile before I get the film processed though. Maybe next payday.

Penelope has a cool idea to have an Illustration Friday similar to Photo Friday but with illustrations instead of photos. This week the theme is "sleep". I want to join in all the fun too. Maybe I'll post up something from the archive but I want to make a brand new illo. Hmm.
