After work yesterday I didn't know what to do with myself so I decided to go to La Ti Da. They have yarn, needles, ideas, and other stuff. So I made a bee line to the back of the store and started flipping through books looking for something fabulous to make. A fleece farmer's market bag was pretty cute and I need something to carry my knitting supplies in. It kind of sucks to have to buy the whole book when you find one pattern you'd use in it. But I really want to make a pashmina or poncho. I didn't think it would be that hard to find a pattern for one of these but it was! When I finally found something in a Rowan book it was pretty cute. It used braid yarn that I've never worked with before. But when I saw an 8 next to it, as in needing 8 skeins to produce, I was broken hearted. One skein is $10.50. Then I'd have to buy 8 of them, crochet needles, and um, learn how to crochet too, hehe. Fun.
I'm going to have to think about that one some more. There were two patterns, one needing 8 skeins and another one needing 6. *sigh*
