Designing characters can be complicated and overwhelming if we think about it too much. I wanted to share a bit of how I approach character design and the perspective that helps me add depth to my illustrations as well.
I have an online course called “Get Dressed: Design Cute and Unique Outfits for Your Characters” and you can learn more about it here. I share how I brainstorm elements and mix and match them to make the process from sketch to final illustration more fun and freeing. Thinking about design as a whole from the very start can be a bit much so breaking the concepts down really helps to make things less scary.
