Making plans doesn't have to be hard - Introducing The Sweet Life Digital Binder

Making plans doesn’t have to be some major event. I used to cringe and draw a blank when I was asked the “where do you see yourself in 1 year/5 years/10 years” questions. I honestly barely had plans for the day to day and weeks, let alone years. I had dreams that usually (thank God!) worked out with roughly scribbled ideas but not step by step plans.

That’s how I function today and what finally works. Ask yourself what would make you feel amazing if you get it done today, tomorrow or this week. What do you keep thinking about over and over that makes you feel bad, upset or anxious?

What can you do today to shrink that thing into bite size pieces instead of a seemingly huge giant thing looming over you?

Years are months, weeks and days all added up. If you want to change those big buckets of time, start with the small ones.

You can focus on what you want to do today. Does that look like 80% of the day resting? K. Is that getting one bill in the mail? K. Is that sketching for 15 min? K.

I was doing the same crazy loop to get everything done at once: day after day, year after year. Without checking in on myself and slowly but surely there just wasn’t enough capacity in me or time in the day to do all of the 9 to 5 job things, mom things, me things, wife things, art things, etc. I had to stop, access and make changes. I’m so grateful I did and I believe you deserve the same!

I started off planning with paper planners but since I wasn’t consistent or they had concrete dates, I quickly lost steam. And of course as a result I felt bad too for falling behind, no bueno. Then I found bullet journaling which I still love but I could barely make time to plan. Let alone set up time to make daily, weekly, monthly and yearly spreads too.

That led me to digital planners. I love the flexibility, fun and freedom these bring. I can easily make updates, copy sheets and content, etc. This is why I made my first digital planner called The Sweet Life Binder for Apple and Android. I’m getting things out of my head and actually accomplishing more with clear focus. Our brains aren’t made for storing, they are made for doing. Paper, planners and notebooks are for storing.

You can get organized, have a calmer routine and reduce stress today with a planner, get your digital planner here!

Erika
