Hump Day

Happy Hump Day to you! It's rainy and damp outside right now. The seasons are definitely changing and you can see evidence of it everywhere. I'm so glad it's the middle of the week and even happier that tomorrow is my Friday. All I have to worry about on Friday is going to my internship which isn't a big deal. No work, no school, I can handle it. Thanks for your responses to my social comment piece. I had a lot of fun creating it and evaluating my emotions about advertising. I love it but I hate it at the same time. I think advertising is getting ridiculous and someday soon we could be like Minority Report. There's a part where John Anderson (Tom Cruise) goes into the mall and stores are advertising directly to him. "Welcome back John, will you be buying another pair of chinos like you did last time you were here?". Ugh. We had critiques on Monday but our teacher talked alot so we still have eight or nine pieces to critique. Mine is one of them and the critiquing will continue today.

Apparently I've been sleep deprived or I don't know how to save jpgs anymore, but the piggy to the right is missing. He'll be back once I can hook up my laptop to the internet. But until then, the red X works just fine.

As for my roll of film I shot last Thursday, it's dropped off and processing as I write this. I had the photo lab do a clip test to process the negatives so they aren't over exposed. The clip test looked great so I hope the whole roll does too. I'm excited to see what they look like. The part of shooting and waiting is the hard part for me. The final images are usually the best surprise though, so it's worth it!

*** You know how much I love to share so here's some more sharing.

I was shocked and saddened when I heard Christopher Reeve passed away. I used to have the BIGGEST crush on him as a little girl. The Superman outfit did it for me. Oh and the little curl as well. He spoke for causes and made appearances after his accident. He was brave for that and I honestly thought he would walk again one day. Here are some artistic tributes to a beautiful man. R.I.P. Superman.

Kazu has a new Copper up and it's by far my favorite.

It's been two weeks and I'm going through knitting withdrawl. I want to knit something white and try my hand at cables. Loobylu's making another cute item for her daughter.

Tracey's back and now I want to go on a trip more than ever. My friend was just stationed in Hawaii so I could be paying him a visit soon.
