Strawberry fabric Pattern - Behind the Scenes and reveal

A new fabric pattern is born!  Here is a behind the scenes of turning the watercolor into a digital file and the second video is the big reveal.  Right now you can get this as a phone wallpaper, see the link up above!  I have more patterns over at Spoonflower.  Love them.

What do you think? Do you like the scale of the design?  Don't forget to follow me on Facebook so you never miss a thing!

On Repeat

One of the things I've always wanted to do was design patterns.  Which is pretty odd because wearing patterns scares me.  I know big prints overwhelm and other cardinal rules like that but I usually steer clear and just stick with basics.  I took yet another Skillshare class (love!) and it was excellent.  I just worked out my first digital pattern because of my love of juicing my green juice and I'm pleased with how it turned out!  There is a LOT of adjusting involved with this so where the repeat isn't obvious and you get a good flow.  It is incessant but necessary, just a little warning.

I am going to submit it to Spoonflower so I can have it available there and maybe there will be a pair of sister pants made for Addy and her little sister?  I hope so, so excited.

I wonder what I should make into a pattern next.

My First Fabric!

A long time ago I painted a watercolor of green leaves and someone had suggested I make a print out of it.  There is a great site called Spoonflower where you can submit designs and they will turn those designs into fabric.  So fast forward probably three years later and I have made my first fabric.  I love how it looks and the quality is just better than I imagined.  There is a blizzard coming so I scanned in the fat quarter proof I ordered.

What do you think?  So now I have one print for sale and I can't wait to make more.  Whenever I can get more time I want to learn how to screen-print as well.  Never done it and would love to see what it's like.
