This weekend Raul's siblings put together the most delicious meal at his sister's house. It was a true Colombian feast of chicken, rice, fried plantains, red wine, soup, and a type of salsa with avocado. There doesn't have to be a special occasion for all of us to get together and I love that.
I've been trying to brush up on my Spanish because I want to be involved more with his family. Spanish is Raul's family's first language so we talk, but not as much as we could if I was more fluent. I took three Spanish classes in high school but to say I'm rusty is an understatement. I found this site called Coffee Break Spanish with free podcasts where a Scottish man and woman teach the lessons. So far everything is review.
