Just woke up from passing out cold in one of my parent’s comfy chairs while watching “Ghost Town”. Good movie but my eyelids got too heavy. My boots are here though, more about that tomorrow. I need to focus on waking up enough to drive home right now.

The alphabet series is finished so now I’m researching and writing drafts to get this bad boy in book form. So much is going on right now, it’s funny how that happens. Everything is dead and then boom, plans coming out of my ears.

I signed up for Bolder Boulder on Memorial Day which is the biggest race in Colorado and it is 10k. I’m in the jogger/walker leg so I don’t get trampled, hopefully. Back in high school I ran track but I was a sprinter and it’s been awhile since I’ve done anything like this so this should be interesting. Then on the 27th my husband and some friends of ours are going to see No Doubt in concert with Paramore opening for them. Can not wait!! My new passport came so later that week Raul and I are flying out to Seattle and then driving to Vancouver to visit family. We’ve both never been to either so we’re so excited. A vacation is in order! If you know of any cool spots we should check out, let me know.

Then in less than a month we’ll have our one year anniversary. It’s cliche but the time flew faster than a speeding bullet. Unbelievable.

We split up Mother’s Day so we celebrated with my mom yesterday and Raul’s mom today.

Today Raul’s mom and brother came over to our house and we had bouillabaisse.  So delicious!  Love love seafood.

I couldn’t think of a gift to purchase this year so I went to traditional art and made this print for my mom.  It represents spring since with both go crazy for this time of year.  No more bare tree limbs, give me lush leaves and birds anytime.
